Goodwill Visit: Russian delegation tours in Mandalay

A delegation led by Head of Kalmykia Republic of Russian Federation Mr. BatuKhasikovcontinued their tour in Mandalay on Wednesday.

On their arrival at Mandalay Airport from Nay Pyi Taw, they were welcomed by Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung and officials. They then visited Maha Myatmuni pagoda, offering with flowers, water and gold foils.

After that, the delegation proceeded to Sitagu International Vipassana University and paid homage to the State Ovadacaria, Head of Shwe Kyin Nikaya Sayadaw Dr BaddantaNyanissara. They also discussed matters on propagation of Buddhism.

The delegation also paid homage to Kuthodaw Pagoda, Mahalawka Marazein Kyauk Taw Kyi Pagoda and Su Taung Pyae Pagoda. In the evening, the Mandalay Region Chief Minister hosted a dinner in honour of the visiting delegation at Mingalar Mandalay Hotel.
