Goodwill visit to Myanmar: Russian delegation pays visit in Nay Pyi Taw

As the official goodwill visit to Myanmar, a delegation led by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Mr. Vyacheslav Lebedev arrived at Nay Pyi Taw on 23rd July and they were welcomed at the Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport by the Chief Justice of the Union Supreme Court and officials.

In the evening of that day, the Russian Chief Justice and delegates paid homage to Maravijiya Buddha image that is being built at the Buddha Park in Nay Pyi Taw Dekkhina Thiri Township and viewed around religious edifices and stone inscription cetis.

On the 24th, the Russian goodwill delegation paid homage to Jade Buddha Image in the cave of Uppathasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw and offered flowers and water. After taking photos on the platform of the pagoda, the delegation visited Royal white elephant hall in the eastern corner of the pagoda and fed the white elephants.

In the evening, Union Chief Justice U Tun Tun hosted a dinner to the delegation led by the Russian Chief Justice at the Park Royal Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw. On the 25th, the Russian goodwill delegation visited Gems Museum (Nay Pyi Taw) and viewed around the displays of jades, gems, pearls, jewelleries and natural resources in the hall.

The Russian delegation then posed documentary photos together with officials and presented gifts to officials of the museum.
