Goodwill Visit : China’s naval ships arrive in Yangon

A destroyer, a frigate and a supply ship from China’s 44th PLA Navy Escort Task Group (ETG) arrived at the Thilawa Port of Yangon Region on Monday afternoon for to conduct a maritime security exercise and a goodwill visit.

The delegation comprised of a total of about 700 officers and other ranks led Senior Captain Sun Bo was welcomed by Myanmar and Chinese officials. It’s reported that the delegation will visit prominent places in Yangon and hold bilateral friendly sports competitions in addition to a maritime security exercise.
