Good Deeds: Maravijaya Buddha Image crowded with pilgrims

During Thadingyut period, the Maravijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw was crowded with pilgrims from across the country on Monday. On 30th October, pagodas and monasteries across the country were crowded with pilgrims to pay homage. Also, contestants of the 24th Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition paid a visit to the Maravijaya Buddha Image.

Additionally, pilgrims and devotees made generous donations of cash and treated charity feast to all comers. Pilgrims paid homage to the world's highest sitting marble Buddha Image, explored the Buddha Park which includes 24 repository chambers, Agga Dipadi Sasana Beikman, Stone Inscription Cetis, Mucalinda Lake, Thudamma public rest houses, Nagayon Pagoda and water fountain square and Maravijaya monastery, offered oil lamps and LED lanterns to the Buddha Image, and recited religious verses.
