Good Agricultural Practices (GAP): Department of Agriculture issues (GAP) certificate

The Department of Agriculture of Yamethin Township issues the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certificate on cultivation of Grape and Chili to the farmer every fiscal year.

Deputy staff officer, Department of Agriculture (Yamethin Township), Than Win  said "Our Department is implementing for the grape and chili crops cultivating farmers to earn recognition of good agricultural Practices (GAP) certificate in 2023-2024 growing season. Grapes are a crop that is consumed, distributed to markets and exported. Since the time of planting, we have been working on education for the farmers in accordance with good agricultural practices to ensure that the consumers and cultivators are safe and the environment is not polluted."

The Department of Agriculture is conducting educating programs for the other crops apart from the grape and chili in accordance with good agricultural practices. The farmers need to cooperate with the Department of Agriculture to ensure the Good Agricultural Practices.
