In a rare moment of wildlife behaviour, a golden eagle was spotted cooling off at a mountain fountain in Türkiye’s Isparta province. The unusual scene unfolded in the foothills of the Dedegöl Mountains, where the majestic bird used a village fountain to beat the summer heat.

According to Erdeger’s footage, the eagle first perched on top of the fountain before descending into the flowing water. It spread its wings, immersed its body, and splashed around, staying in the water for several minutes. After cooling down, the raptor flapped its wings to dry off and then soared back into the sky.

The remarkable “bath break” highlighted not only the adaptability of wildlife but also the surprises hidden in nature, offering both birdwatchers and photographers a rare spectacle.
