The Grand Est Mondial Air Balloons is the global hot air balloon gathering in France's Lorraine region, held every two years at the former NATO airbase in Chambley. The event is the world's largest gathering of hot air balloons, known for its "Great Line" mass takeoff of hundreds of balloons at once. The festival told on Thursday that it will not return in 2026.
