Global Business Summit: Myanmar delegation participated in the Summit

The 9thGlobal Business Summit took place in New Delhi, India from February 15 to 16. A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations Dr. Kan Zaw attended the summit at the invitation of India’s The Times Group.

The summit focused on Industry 5.0 trends, global monetary policy changes, energy security and future job opportunities and resilience amid the global economic crisis.

On the first day, the Union Minister participated in a panel on “Global Cooperation in a Polarized World,” with the Economy and Industry Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Albania and Sri Lanka, discussing the current global economic landscape, policies, Myanmar’s investment promotion efforts.

In the evening, the delegation attended a ceremony where Indian Prime Minister Modi unveiled India’s economic strategy and vision, followed by a dinner reception for summit delegates.

The Myanmar delegation continued their participation on the summit’s second day, which hosted 2,000 delegates from over 20 countries. The Myanmar delegation arrived back to Yangon on February 17. Where they were welcomed by Indian Ambassador Mr. Abhay Thakur and officials from the Department of Investment and Company Administration.
