Global architects compete for Hunnu City

The world’s leading urban planners have begun competing to design the master plan for Hunnu City, a new urban development planned for Tuv Province, 53 kilometers from Ulaanbaatar.

The project is part of a broader national vision to create an environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and people-oriented city that will become a model of sustainable urban development in Mongolia. A total of 43 planning teams from 21 foreign countries have submitted proposals for the selection process. 

The Hunnu City Urban Planning Competition 2025 is an international open competition that will focus on the principles of smart, green, and sustainable urban planning, integrating Mongolia's historical heritage and culture with global development trends.
