Glitzy Oscar nominees luncheon back one year after LA fires

Hollywood stars embraced and champagne corks popped at this year's Oscars nominee lunch, the glamorous pre-show gatheringat the Beverly Hills, United States. Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Lynette Howell Taylor praised the diversity of this year's nominees. 

Ethan Hawke, Best Actor Nominee said  "It feels so special to be here with a film that I made with Richard Linklater. We've been friends for 30 years and kind of have walked to the beat of our own drum and done our own thing. To get to be celebrating work that we made together is why I want to be an actor. And so it's the right kind of reward." 

More than 200 nominees attended the event, all the more energetic after last year's lunch was canceled as huge fires razed whole communities around LA.
