Gita Pwal Taw Season-2: Singing competition to be held for 18 weeks

Marking the 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day which will fall on 4th January, Tu Shin Hnwal Pyaw Gita Pwal Taw Season-2 will be held under the organizing of Myanmar Radio and Television. The contestants from Group A who will compete in Tu Shin Hnwal Pyaw Gita Pwal Taw Season-2 were welcomed by the officials at the meeting hall of the MRTV on 26th August and contents about the singing competition have been explained to the contestants. 

4th January, 2023 is the 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day. Aiming to encourage the public to treasure and respect the importance of independence, to strengthen the patriotic spirit to maintain the sovereignty, to turn out the new generation of singers and to entertain the public for leisure and recreation, the singing competition is being held. 

Director (Broadcasting), Myanmar Radio and Television, Zayar said "A total of 45 contestants between the age of 18 and 30, 3 each from 15 regions are invited to compete in this competition. Contestants are to compete with 5 groups, each group consists of 9 contestants and this competition will be held in Yangon for 2 weeks."

Contestants in Group-A will compete on 2nd September. In the 1st week of competition, the songs related to the Independence Day, the union, the peace and the songs composed in honor of various ethnic troupes has been set for 45 contestants and the contestants will have to sing the song of their choice. On 9th September, the contestants will compete with the motivational songs. 

Director (Broadcasting), Myanmar Radio and Television, Zayar said "After 2 weeks of competition, 2 out of 9 will be chosen and a total of 10 finalists will be chosen from 5 groups. 3 out of 10 will be competed in the grand final and the judges will select the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners. "

It is learnt that “Tu Shin Hnwal Pyaw Gita Pwal Taw” singing competition is beneficial for the vocal enthusiasts and will surely have the great opportunity to succeed in the artistic field. 18 events of contest will be held for 18 weeks from 2nd September to 30th December.
