

A giant sinkhole is threatening to swallow up the building that houses the police department in Hinton, West Virginia.
When the hole formed in August, officials say it measured about six feet across but now is about ten times that size.
More ground caved in this month after the remnants of Hurricane Nicole dropped heavy rain on the town of about 2,300 people.The police department evacuated its building and now the sinkhole has taken part of nearby Route 20, which is the only road to one of the local schools. Some students are now in remote learning.State officials are considering erecting a temporary steel bridge -- 125 feet long -- to keep traffic flowing.
