German Chancellor Friedrich Merz lands in Beijing for official visit

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived in Beijing on Wednesday for an official visit to China through Thursday.

During the visit, the Chancellor is scheduled to meet with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang and the discussion is expected to focus on bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.
