Gems Emporium: 7th Day Sale Fetches 103.826 Million Euros

2019 Mid-year Myanmar Gems Emporium entered the 7th day on Sunday. Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation Dr. Ye Myint Swe visited the Emporium at Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw.

The 7th sale fetched 103.826 million Euros from 861 out of 1,299 jade lots under the open tender system. Gems emporiums have been held in Myanmar since 1964 and this is the 95th emporium inviting local merchants and over 6,000 foreign merchants from 26 countries.

Jade, rough gems, cut and polished gemstones, jewelries, jade carvings, gemstone pictures, articles made of gold and silver are sold in Euro currency. Gems lots and jade lots are put up for sale through the open tender system. The Mid-year Myanmar Gems Emporium for 2019 will run till the 25th of September.
