GCC secretary general arrives in New Delhi to deepen India–Gulf strategic partnership

In a move aimed at strengthening India’s engagement with the Gulf region, the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Jasem Mohammad Al Budaiwi arrived in New Delhi on Thursday.

Officials say the engagement reflects the growing importance of India–Gulf relations, driven by strong economic, energy, and people-to-people linkages. The visit is also to further deepen the historic and robust partnership between India and the Gulf Cooperation Council member states.
