Gaza ceasefire talks progress

Negotiations to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip continued in Doha, Qatar on Wednesday. Four working groups from Qatar, Egypt, the United States, and Israel held technical discussions on a deal for a ceasefire in Gaza and the exchange of hostages.

Israel and Hamas have conducted multiple rounds of negotiations under the mediation of the U.S, Egypt and Qatar, since the latest round of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict broke out on 7th October 2023. The new round of ceasefire negotiations began in Doha on 15th August, before stalling on the following day. The talks restarted in Cairo, Egypt last Saturday.
