Garonne river flood by Storm Nils continues in France

In France, flooding, which has triggered a red alert for the Garonne River southeast of Bordeaux remained under close monitoring on Friday and Aisne Department had been placed under an orange alert by the French flood monitoring service.

Minister Delegate for Ecological Transition called for the utmost vigilance, stressing " a phenomenon of exceptional magnitude, both in its geographical scope. Following Storm Nils, less intense disturbances will bring further rainfall and thus potentially worsen the flooding. In the Southwest, a section of the Garonne River, where flooding is ongoing, remained under red alert until Saturday.
