Further Clarification: MoNREC clarifies the guidance of SAC Chairman

A clarification on the guidance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council was held at the Department of Forestry in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

At the event, Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi explained about the instructions of SAC Chairman at the work coordination meeting on the undertakings during 6-month period of the Union Government.

In regard with the Ministry, he stressed the needs on exceeding the target for revenues and taxes, conservation of natural environment, biodiversity and ecosystem, increasing forest coverage area, establishing forest plantations, mineral extraction in line with rules, regulations and procedures and striving for the achievement of the objectives and missions of the Ministry.

Later, heads of departments and enterprises reported on policy, aim and responsibilities adopted by the department, seeking finance and uses, production and services, project implementation and tasks during 6-moth period and future programs.

Then, the Deputy Ministers and attendees supplemented on strong and weak points on the 6-month period work implementation and future tasks.
