Funeral for decorated former Gurkha in Kathmandu

The funeral service for British soldier Rambahadur Limbu took place in Kathmandu on Friday at the British Gurkha Nepal camp.Limbu died on April 22, aged 83.

Family members, former Gurkha soldiers and soldiers currently serving in the British Army placed wreaths and flowers on the casket during the funeral.

He was the last living Gurkha soldier who had received the prestigious Victoria Cross while serving in the British Army.His body will be cremated at his hometown in eastern Nepal in a private ritual on Sunday.
