



A Myanmar delegation, headed by Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo conducted an inspection of trade activities at the China-Viet Nam border town of Pingxiang and visited the China-ASEAN Fruit Trading Centre in Nanning, the People’s Republic of China’s Guangxi Autonomous Region on Friday.
The delegation’s first stop was at the Friendship Checkpoint in Pingxiang, where they closely examined the processes involved in border trade. Subsequently, the Union Minister and the delegation proceeded to the Fuqiang Trade Terminal in Pingxiang, where they observed goods inspection procedures.
Continuing their journey, the Myanmar delegation visited the China-ASEAN Fruit Trade Centre in Pingxiang. They gained insights into the importation of fruits from Viet Nam and Thailand to China.
In the afternoon, the delegation, led by the Union Minister, visited the Shuikou border trading post in Pingxiang. Concluding their visit, the Union Minister and the delegation explored the Nahua Private Border Trade Zone.
Pingxiang plays a pivotal role as one of the primary border terminal ports for transporting fruits by land from ASEAN countries, including Viet Nam, into China. It holds immense potential for collaboration with Myanmar’s fruit export sector, promising new opportunities for trade and economic cooperation.
