The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations organized the 22nd edition of its Knowledge Sharing Programme, known as "Friday Talk," on 21st July. The program aimed to focus on human resource development and capacity building for the ministry's staff.

Union Minister Dr Kan Zaw graced the event and delivered a speech, highlighting the ministry's role in promoting local and foreign investments, fostering cooperation with foreign economic organizations, and actively participating in international investment fairs.

Myanmar signed the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreement in November 2020. The Union Minister emphasized that this agreement opens up significant opportunities for economic cooperation within the region and with other nations worldwide.

Particularly, the inclusion of an e-commerce chapter in the RCEP Agreement is expected to boost collaboration in trading, commuting, import/export, and currency exchange through people-to-people and culture-to-culture exchange programs.

The Union Minister urged all staff members to effectively apply the knowledge gained from the program to contribute to the nation's economic development. Following the speech, there was a knowledge-sharing session specifically focused on promoting trading opportunities under the RCEP Agreement.
