





The fresher welcoming ceremony for Batch (32) of Dawei Nursing Training School, was held in the mornin on Monday in the hall of Training School in Dawei Township of Tanintharyi Region.
During the ceremony, Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko stated that the state is working towards strengthening the nation's basic healthcare system as part of its social development goals, aiming to establish a health system that ensures the longevity and well-being of the entire population. He mentioned that the Ministry of Health, in line with the National Health Policy, has systematically developed the National Health Plan, the Rural Health Development Plan, and the 30-Year Long-Term Health Development Vision for Myanmar.
These efforts aim to expand healthcare coverage across the entire country, including remote and border areas. The Chief Minister warmly welcomed the new nursing trainees and encouraged them not to be content with just a Nursing and Midwifery Diploma but to strive for higher nursing degrees. He emphasized the importance of adhering to nursing ethics, treating the public with courtesy, and mastering basic nursing skills to provide competent care. He urged the trainees to develop the right mindset and become exemplary nurses, striving to be good citizens of the nation.
Following this, Dr. Moe Zaw, the Director of Medical Services for Tanintharyi Region and Chairman (Administration) of the Dawei Nursing Training School, delivered a speech. The school principal, Daw Thin Thin Hlaing, also gave a welcoming address. The 78 first-year nursing trainees of Batch (32) introduced themselves individually.
Subsequently, a trainee representative expressed gratitude on behalf of all the new nursing trainees. The Chief Minister then donated 1 million kyats for the development of the nursing school, which was accepted by the school principal. The event concluded with the performances of songs and dances by the nursing trainees, which were enjoyed by the Chief Minister, the Region's Chief Justice, regional ministers, and other officials.
