Fresher welcome ceremony: MoALI and MoCRD Union Minister attended ceremony

The fresher welcome ceremony of Yezin Agricultural University for 2022-2023 academic year was held at the convocation hall of the university on January 12 with the attendance of Union Minister for the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and the Ministry of Cooperative and Rural Development U Hla Moe and deputy minister Dr. Aung Gyi.

At the ceremony, the Union minister gave an opening remark followed by the deputy minister. Next, the students of Yezin Agricultural University presented with the dances and performances and the union minister provided cash assistance for the students and the deputy minister provided cash of honor for the dancer group.  

Similarly, the Union Minister, deputy minister and Nay Pyi Taw council members attended the fresher welcome ceremony of Pyinmana Agricultural Science College for 2022-2023 academic year and extended greetings. Next, the students of Pyinmana Agricultural Science College presented with the dances and performances and the union minister provided cash assistance for the students and the deputy minister provided cash of honor for the dancer group.

After the ceremony, the union minister, deputy minister and guests enjoyed lunch together with the students of Agricultural Science College.  From there, the union minister and party inspected the irrigation of water from Hsin Thay Dam in Aye Myint Thaya Village of Pubbathiri Township and Thayar Aye Village of Zayyarthiri Township and the construction works of temporary water dams and gave necessary instructions.

Then, the union minister met with the farmers and explained the benefits from the temporary water dams. Afterward, the union minister and deputy minister inspected the model plantation of oil crop sunflower and fruit seeds reported by the seed division of agriculture department for the seed registration, it’s learnt.
