French volunteers attempt to beat the record for cigarette butt collection

In France's Lille, volunteers are attempting to beat the world record for collecting cigarette butts - 1.26 million - to mark World Cleanup Day.

"Cigarette butts are the most polluting waste we find on our streets and in our parks. One cigarette butt means 500 liters of polluted water," organizer, Bryan Cantero said.
