A large French trawler ran aground in Dingle Harbour, in County Kerry, when it was driven onto rocks as it was attempting to leave the harbour on Sunday morning on December 14.

The Irish Coast Guard said it successfully winched the crew of 14 to safety. They were men mostly of Indonesian and Potuguese origin. The vessel is 28m and 250 tonne, according to reports.
