France's Prime Minister Gabriel Attal and Interior Minister arrived in La Grande-Motte in southern France where a man draped in a Palestinian flag was suspected of setting fires at a synagogue and triggering an explosion that injured a police officer.

Police arrested the man on Saturday in what officials suspect was a terror attack, the country's interior minister said. Attal also said France’s national anti-terror prosecutors have been tasked with probing the incident. French President Emmanuel Macron called it a “terrorist act” and said everything was being done to locate the perpetrator.
