French president visits Hanoi's University of Science and Technology

French President Emmanuel Macron on May 27th visited Hanoi's University of Science and Technology and met students studying at the institution.

Viet Nam is Macron's first stop on a six-day tour of Southeast Asia that will include Indonesia and Singapore. Seeking access to Viet Nam's surging economy, Macron said nearly 9 billion euros worth of contracts had been signed during his visit including on nuclear power.
