French President meets Jordan’s King in Amman

French President Emmanuel Macron met on Wednesday with Jordan’s King Abdullah II in Amman. Macron and Abdullah discussed challenges in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and also the issue of the Palestinian process.

Macron was among leaders from the Middle East and Europe who participated in the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership that was held in Jordan on Tuesday.

Abdullah thanked the French president for his leadership at the conference. Tuesday's gathering was held as a follow-up to the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership convened in Iraq last year with France co-organizing.
