French President Emmanuel Macron has called an emergency meeting

French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday evening has called an emergency meeting of the Defense Council amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, as tensions between the United States, Israel and Iran escalate. The meeting was held behind closed doors. This was the third Emergency Defense Council that Macron has held since the start of the conflict.
