French far-right presidential candidate holds rally

Eric Zemmour, a 63 year old far-right French presidential candidate and former television pundit, managed to pack the Place de Trocadero at his outdoor rally on Sunday.

With the Eiffel Tower in the background, the anti-immigration candidate told a crowd of thousands that his party, "Reconquest" was the true party of the right.

He said his party and supporters were the only "inheritors of the right who love France, the people, work, order and identity." He said the thousands that turned out at Trocadero on Sunday were a forerunner of a major electoral surprise next month.
