France’s Minister of Agriculture, Agrifood and Food Sovereignty, traveled to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport on Thursday to oversee and participate in customs and phytosanitary food import controls at the airport’s cargo inspection zones.

The visit included observing customs control operations on imported food products and meetings with officers from the veterinary and phytosanitary inspection services tasked with ensuring compliance with French and EU food safety standards.

This inspection is part of a broader government effort to reinforce border controls on food imports, ensuring that products entering France meet strict health, safety, and environmental standards.
