France's Macron awards medals to Olympic athletes at Champions' Parade

French President Emmanuel Macron greeted athletes and rekindles the flame of the Unknown Soldier at the Champions's Parade, the last celebration for the French team athletes after their successful summer at the Paris Games.

Macron bestowed awards on Teddy Riner and the other medal-winning athletes on a stage around the Arc de Triomphe. With his third individual gold medal, the judoka received the rank of Commander of the National Order of Merit.
