France hosts Nuclear Power Summit Near Paris

French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday hosts around 40 state representatives near Paris for the second summit dedicated to reviving civil nuclear power, presented as a lever for energy sovereignty, with war in the Middle East highlighting the fragility of economies dependent on fossil fuels. “Nuclear power is key to reconciling both independence and energy sovereignty with decarbonization, and carbon neutrality," Macron said at the Summit.
