Four dead in military helicopter crash in Colombia

A Colombian army helicopter that crashed on Sunday claimed the lives of four soldiers who were on board. President Gustavo Petro said there were no survivors in the accident in the west of the country.

The president sent a message of condolences to the families and lamented the death of the soldiers. The president said that the aircraft was carrying out supply work in the area. He also ordered authorities to travel to the capital of the department of Chocó, to attend and investigate the causes of the crash. Commander of the Joint Task Force Titan said the bodies of two of the soldiers had been recovered, while the search for the other two was ongoing.
