Forum Mandalay Region: Totaling 5 agreements signed during the forum

Union Minister for Commerce U Aung Naing Oo who is currently in Nanning City of Guangxi Autonomous Region, People’s Republic of China delivered a speech at the Mandalay Region Trade, Investment and Tourism Promotion Forum held at Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center (NICEC) in the morning on 16th September.

In his speech, the Union Minister said as Mandalay City is located at the hub of the trade routes linking with the China-Myanmar Railway Project, China-Myanmar Economic Corridor (CMEC), East and West and North and South Economic Corridor of Greater Mekong Sub Region (GMS), it’s selected as City of Cham and exhibited at China-ASEAN Expo.

Mandalay is situated at the convergence of economic corridors that is the trade routes. That’s why, the Chinese entrepreneurs are invited in the potential foodstuff production, running garment factory, jewelry polishing for finished products, generating renewable Energy and freight transportation Services.

Next, Mandalay Region Minister for development Mayor U Kyaw Hsan and Minister for Economic Affairs U Thein Htay gave opening remarks. The forum was attended by the government representatives and private entrepreneurs from Myanmar side and Political consultative conference Vice Chair of Guangxi Autonomous Region and business entrepreneurs from China side.

During the forum, the respective officials clarified the sectors including Mandalay Myothar Industrial Zone, Amarapura Tourism Project, Mingalar Mandalay Project, Yay Tagon Taung City Project and Myanmar fruits and crops. At the Mandalay Trade, Investment and Tourism Promotion Forum, a total of 5 agreements could be signed.
