







The final match and prize awarding ceremony of the 2024 Inter-University Football Tournament, organized by the Ministry of Health, Medical Universities, and Medical related Universities, was held at Wunna Theikdi Sports Complex football field in Nay Pyi Taw on 2nd October.
The event was attended by Union Minister for the Ministry of Health Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win, Union Minister of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, Deputy Ministers and officials.
In the final match, the team University of Medicine (2) (Yangon) competed against the team University of Medicine (Magway). The match ended in a 2-2 draw, leading to extra time, where the team University of Medicine (Magway) won with a score of 4-2.
Following the match, in the prize awarding ceremony, prizes for best players, consolation prizes, and third-place prizes were presented by Director-Generals from the Ministry of Health and Deputy Ministers for Sports and Youth Affairs. Union Minister U Min Thein Zan presented medals and cash prizes to the 2nd prize winner team and Union Minister Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win awarded the championship trophy and cash prize to the first prize winning team.
