Food Sufficiency: Livestock farm and agricultural works in Shan State

A livestock breeding zone has been established in Nga Pein Inn Ground of Nan Kone  Village in Pindaya Township, to ensure food sufficiency in Danu Self-Administered Zone.

On December 14th, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung visited the breeding zone to oversee the work undertakings. Officials provided the update reports on animal  feeds and nutrition, disease prevention measures, water supply, electricity access and road construction.

The Chief Minister coordinated the needs and inspected the chosen sites for cow breeding farm and construction of embankment. They later visited Phaya Phyu Village in Kyar Kone Village-Tract to observe the thriving of sunflower plantations for seeding purpose, and coordinated the needs for irrigated water and quality seeds. Kyar Kone Village-Tract has been established as the Smart Village by the Department of Rural Development in 2024-2025 fiscal year.

The Chief Minister urged local community to keep the infrastructures clean and green with long term maintenance. They then proceeded to Taung Lay Lone Village-Tract in Taunggyi Township and inspected the poultry farm and foodstuff industry.
