Food Security in Yangon Region: Work coordination meeting advances double cropping initiative

A Work Coordination Meeting on cultivating double cropping in Yangon Region was held at the Regional Government Office on Friday.

Chief Minister U Soe Thein explained the guidance of the Head of State and stressed the need to strive for ensuring food security for the increasing population. Officials reported on the requirements for double cropping and the supply of irrigation water. The Chief Minister urged officials to pay special attention to boosting crop yields through collaboration with farmers.
