Food Security Efforts: Bago Region CM inspected efforts for food security

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, accompanied by members of the region government, conducted a field visit to Waw Township to observe efforts aimed at ensuring food security, on July 7.

First, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win visited the large-scale model rain-fed paddy plot in Kyaik Hla Model Village, Waw Township. He observed the communal fertilizer application, met with local rain-fed paddy farmers, delivered a speech, and coordinated with officials to address their needs. Following this, the Chief Minister observed the ongoing rain-fed paddy cultivation using a rice transplanter.

Subsequently, Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win visited U Min's farm in Kyaik Hla Village, where he successfully raises 2,200 egg-laying ducks with funding from the State Economic Promotion Fund. During the visit, he provided guidance to officials, noting that the Waw region possesses ideal natural conditions for duck farming. He instructed them to expand duck farming operations, and also to expand local chicken and pig farming to boost meat production.
