



In the Chaung Cha Village of Kyet Thun Khin Village-tract in Tatkone Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council area, some villagers including children and adults exhibited symptoms of food poisoning on the afternoon of September 17. The affected individuals had consumed chicken biryani, chicken curry with potato, and duck egg curry with tomato donated by the well-wishers.
In response to the incident, emergency response teams from the Health Department of Naypyidaw and Tatkone Township have arrived in the village to provide treatment, transfer patients to hospitals, and offer health education.
Among the patients, 50 are being treated as outpatients and 56 as inpatients at the Tatkone People's Hospital, while 4 inpatients are at the Naypyidaw General Hospital and 5 at the Naypyidaw Children’s Hospital. Reports indicate that the condition of the patients is improving. Health authorities are actively implementing disease prevention and control measures in the affected villages.
Consequently, it is urged the well-wishers to provide warm, clean and safe food donations through the supervisory Bodies and Management Teams of relevant Township administrative offices to ensure proper distribution and hygiene at the temporary shelters, where management teams are to oversee the food supplies to maintain health standards.
