Food Industry Development: 2-day forum kicked off in Nay Pyi Taw

Myanmar Food Industry Development Forum 2025 kicked off at MICC-II in Nay Pyi Taw on 19th February.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the opening ceremony and made an opening remark. The Prime Minister emphasized the wide range influence of food industry in nation’s economic sector, streesing on provision of requisite assistance to increase export volume and ensure local food sufficiency.

The Prime Minister called for the concerted efforts of the relevant individuals to support entrepreneurs who are the pillars of nation’s economic sector. He also encouraged the entrepreneurs to strive for the interest of the nation and its people.

Then, a video clip featuring Myanma Food Industry Development activities was screened. It was followed by a clarification on the forum. Next, the Chairman of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of Myanmar Food Processors and Exporters Association presented a commemorative badge to the Prime Minister, marking the opening ceremony of Myanma Food Industry Development Forum.

Then, the Prime Minister made a tour to the commemorative exhibitions, heard reports on the displayed food products and supplemented necessities. 

Aiming for the emergence of better economic community for the evolution of food industries, acceleration of safe and quality food production, import volume reduction and export market penetration, creation of futuristic plans for the sustainable development of the food industries and effective and constructive delivery of necessary information to raise understanding of laws and procedures related to food industry, the Myanmar Food Industry Development Forum 2025 is set to be held until 20th February. Additionally, sector-wise discussions and knowledge sharing sessions will be involved in the forum.
