The 14th Pyin Oo Lwin flower festival commenced Sunday at the National Kandawgyi Gardens in PyinOoLwin. The displays of flowering plants are designed in cooperation with IGMPR Company based in the Netherlands.
Apart from flowering plants from Myanmar, 65,000 tulips from the Netherlands, 90,000 lilies from Italy, 90,000 roses from the UK, and other floral decorations are being showcased at the festival.
More than 600,000 flowering plants worth 700 million kyats are displayed at the festival that will last for one month from 15th December, 2019 to 15th January, 2020.
The flowers displayed at the festival will be exchanged every week. Music concerts by famous vocalists will also be staged during the festival.
