Floods in Taungoo: Relief measures to the affected victims

Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement U Soe Kyi, along with concerned officials discussed the establishment of 32 flood relief camps across Taungoo District, specifically in the townships of Taungoo, Yedashe, HtantaPin, and OakTwin.

During the meeting at the Taungoo District Administration Office, they reviewed additional measures, including issuing advance warnings, organizing search and rescue teams, ensuring proper accommodation for displaced individuals and forming health care sub-committees.

Following the meeting, the Deputy Minister and party visited the Flood Relief Camps opened at ShweGuGyi, B.E.H.S (6), B.E.H.S (5) and LokottaRa Monastery. During their visit, they provided cash assistance for basic food supplies amounting to 10 million kyats, benefiting over 2,000 residents from 612 households.
