Floods in Nyaung Shwe: Relief measures provided for the flood affected community

Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint visited the flood relief camp in Nyaung Shwe on September 21st, and provided cash assistance and relief items to the affected families, donated by the Ministry. They then proceeded to the Township Information and Public Relations Department and Library to assess the damages caused by the flood.

Due to the flash floods, the office furniture and books from the Township Office and the Library have been moved to the safer place. Once the water receded, the arrangements will be made for normal operation after clearing debris. During the visit, the Deputy Minister comforted the staff and provided cash assistance.
