Floods in Kayah State: Relief measures for flood affected areas

Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin on Wednesday along with the officials visited the flood hit monestaries in Loikaw Township due to rising water level of Belu Creek.

At Shwe Kyaung and Shwe Taung monestaries, the Chief Minister and party paid homage to the Sayadaws, submitted religious affairs and offered rice, edible oil and offertories.

Next, the Chief Minister and party viewed the water overflowing over the Kandayawady Bridge and Shan Pine Bridge. During his tour to flood hit villages, the Chief Minister oversaw transportation access for local community, provided by Tatmadawmen, police force and brigade members, red cross society and volunteer teams. The Chief Minister gave necessary instuctions to ensure safety of locals.
