Floods hit Rakhine State: People affected and bridges destroyed in Maungtaw

Heavy rains triggered floods in Thit Tone Nar Gwa Sone village-tract in Maungtaw Township of Maungtaw district in Rakhine State on the 6th of August.

The flood-affected people are now taking shelter at the hall of Oh Htein village and the concerned officials are providing necessary aid including food items.

The floods also destroyed the LetTer bridge in Thit Tone Nar Gwa Sone village-tract and the Mar Say bridge in Ye Aung San village-tract.

Concerned officials have now been working to reconstruct those 2 bridges for transportation.
