Floods and evacuations in Switzerland after heavy rains

Heavy rains caused flooding in southeastern Switzerland on Friday, forcing authorities to evacuate people in the region as well as in Valais, authorities said. The famous Swiss ski resort of Zermatt, in the canton of Valais, has been cut off from the world since Friday noon, with severe weather causing landslides and flooding.
