Flooding In Hsipaw: Village Flooded, People Evacuated

Heavy rains hit Hsipaw Township area of Kyaukme District in northern Shan State, triggering flooding on Monday. About 18 houses in low-lying area of NarMaKhaw Village in the township area have been flooded.

70 people in the village have been evacuated and they are now taking shelter at the Monastery in the village. No deaths or injuries were reported in the flood.
