Severe flooding hit the departments of Dordogne, Corrèze, and Gironde in southwestern France, which went under orange alert from Météo-France. In Montignac-Lascaux, streets flooded as heavy rainfall persisted. The alert, issued early Sunday, followed sharp rises in the Vézère, Auvézère, and Isle rivers, which reached levels not seen in decades. Emergency services stayed on standby for evacuations as rain continued into the night.
