According to the 8:30 am observation on Saturday, the water level of Sittoung River at Toungoo has exceeded more than 3 feet above its danger level. It may fall for about 2 inches during the next 1 day and may remain above its danger level.

Likewise, the water level of Sittoung River at Madauk has exceeded about 5 feet above its danger level. It may fall for about 4 inches during the next 1 day and may remain above its danger level. It is especially alert to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Taungoo and Madauk to stay away from the flood-prone areas.
